Institut Supérieur des Sciences de la Population (ISSP) (Higher Institute of Population Studies) of the University of Ouagadougou
Institut Supérieur des Sciences de la Population (ISSP) is one of the five institutes of the Joseph Ki-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou which have the same status as the faculties. Its main mission is to conduct research and training. In terms of research, ISSP is organized around 3 research units: the Population and Health Research Unit, the Population and Education Research Unit and the Mobility, Housing and Environment Research Unit. In addition to these 3 units, there is a transversal research platform, the Ouagadougou Demographic Surveillance System (OHDSS).
In terms of training, ISSP currently offers 2 master's degrees (a professional master's degree in population and health and a master's degree in population science research). In addition to these 2 master’s degrees, there is a Bachelor degree in social statistics and many short-term training courses for professionals.
