On January 29 and February 19, 2015, dissemination events were organized to share the first round of Performance Monitoring and Accountability 2020 (º£½Ç»»ÆÞ2020) survey findings in Nigeria from the states of Kaduna and Lagos.

In Kaduna, the unmet need for family planning remains high, with 34.4% of women who want to delay or avoid a pregnancy not using any method of contraception. In Lagos, disparities in modern contraceptive use persist, particularly for poor women and youth.

Fewer than 1 in 5 women from the poorest wealth quintile who have a need for family planning are currently using a modern method of contraception, compared to 1 in 2 women in the richest quintile. Discussions at both events centered on how to more effectively meet the contraceptive needs of young women.
